Description:
A very attractive vintage Certina pocket watch featuring a black dial and large luminous Arabic numerals, housed in a GSTP marked case.
The dial features bold Arabic numerals with luminous accents, cathedral-style luminous hands, and a subsidiary seconds dial, giving the watch a strong military appearance typical of mid-20th century Swiss watches.
The watch is currently in working order, winding and running when tested. The movement is a clean Swiss Certina calibre KF 262, 15 jewel mechanical movement.
The case back is stamped "G.S.T.P." along with issue number 155005. The case shows wear to the plating consistent with age and use. The hour hand is slightly misshapen, and there is general age-related wear to the luminous material.
A large and attractive example from a respected Swiss manufacturer, with strong vintage military styling.
