We Buy Watch Parts, Crystals & Watchmaker's Stock
Old watch parts gathering dust? We’d like to hear from you.
At Bowles Ltd, we actively buy old, vintage and new-old-stock watch parts, watch crystals and watchmaker’s stock.
Whether you have a small box of unused parts, a collection built up over many years, or the contents of an old watchmaker’s workshop, we are always interested in seeing what you have.
You do not need to know exactly what everything is. Mixed, unsorted and unidentified parts are all welcome, and there is no need to catalogue or photograph every individual item before getting in touch.
What We Buy
We are particularly interested in:
- Vintage and new-old-stock watch crystals and glasses
- Acrylic, plastic and mineral watch crystals
- Boxed, labelled or loose crystals
- Watch movements, complete or incomplete
- Pocket watch movements and parts
- Movement spares and components
- Balance staffs, balances, mainsprings and stems
- Crowns, hands and dials
- Watch cases and case parts
- Old trade packets and labelled watchmaker’s stock
- Parts cabinets, drawers and storage boxes
- Mixed or unidentified watch parts
- Watchmaker’s tools and equipment
- Complete workshop clearances and larger collections
We are also happy to consider unusual or obsolete stock that may be difficult to identify or no longer has an obvious modern application.
Small Quantities or Complete Workshops
You do not need a huge collection to contact us. We are happy to look at anything from a handful of interesting parts through to large quantities of old trade stock.
If you are clearing the workshop of a retired watchmaker, dealing with an inherited collection, closing a repair business or simply making space, please get in touch.
For larger quantities, there is no need to photograph every item. A few clear photographs showing the general contents, boxes, drawers or cabinets are usually enough for us to make an initial assessment.
Why Sell to Bowles Ltd?
Watch parts can be difficult to value because many are highly specialised, obsolete or useful only for particular movements and repairs.
Because we actively sell vintage watch parts and crystals, older stock can often be of considerably more interest to us than it would be to a general antiques dealer or house-clearance company.
We understand that an apparently unremarkable box of old parts may contain useful or increasingly difficult-to-find components, and we are happy to spend the time looking through mixed stock properly.
How to Offer Us Your Watch Parts
The easiest way to get started is to send us:
- A brief description of what you have
- An approximate idea of the quantity
- A few clear photographs
- Your location
- Any information you know about where the items came from
Don’t worry if you cannot identify the parts or provide detailed descriptions. General photographs are absolutely fine for an initial enquiry.
Have a large quantity or an entire workshop to clear?
Please do not feel you need to sort or photograph everything individually. Send us a few overview photographs and we can take it from there.
