Description

A beautiful unrestored Longines silver pocket watch dating to approximately 1933 and powered by the highly regarded Longines Calibre 17.89ABC movement, additionally marked with the unusual "ZZ" variant designation.

This elegant open-face pocket watch remains in good working order, winding, setting and running well at the time of listing. The watch retains its original silvered dial, original blued steel hands and attractive oversized Arabic numerals, giving it a wonderfully authentic appearance.

The dial displays spotting and age-related marks acquired over many decades of use and storage. Whilst these imperfections are noticeable, they are entirely consistent with an original unrestored watch of this age and contribute to its character and authenticity.

The Swiss silver case is in very good condition with only light signs of age and use. The movement is particularly attractive, retaining its high-quality Longines finishing and displaying the craftsmanship that helped establish Longines as one of Switzerland's most respected manufacturers.

Supplied in a Bowles Ltd. gift box.
