An attractive antique sterling silver sewing thimble hallmarked in Birmingham for 1919. The maker's mark is partially rubbed but appears to be that of S. J. Levi & Co. This example features an unusual swirling spiral design covering the body of the thimble.

The thimble is also marked with a size "3" and displays a distinctive Art Nouveau / early Art Deco influenced decorative style. The unusual decoration and early twentieth-century date make it an appealing addition to collections of antique sewing tools and silver thimbles.
