Description
An unusual and highly collectible vintage Swiss ring watch by Sully, dating to the 1950s. This charming miniature timepiece is housed within an ornate gold plated ring case, featuring a decorative hinged cover set with coloured stones and a central faceted purple stone.
Opening the cover reveals a signed Sully dial with applied rose-gold coloured numerals and hands. The watch is powered by a Swiss AS 976 seventeen jewel mechanical movement and is currently in working order, winding, setting and running correctly.
The ring case was manufactured by Kolmar & Jourdan of Germany and is marked as being gold plated to 20 microns. These novelty ring watches were fashionable accessories during the mid-20th century and remain popular with collectors today due to their unusual design and wearable nature.
