Antique Waltham Pocket Watch Movement 18s Model 1883 c.1891 Repair
Description:
An original antique American Waltham Watch Company pocket watch movement dating to approximately 1891. This is an 18-size movement, Model 1883, retaining its original enamel dial, blued steel hands, and engraved regulator assembly.
The movement is signed “Waltham, Mass.” and carries serial number 5102002. The enamel dial is marked “A.W.W.Co. Waltham Mass” with Roman numerals and a subsidiary seconds dial. The movement features a safety pinion and decorative engraved regulator.
The movement does not currently wind due to a missing click, and the balance is faulty. The enamel dial has several visible hairline cracks, although the hands remain present and appear in good condition. An interesting early Waltham movement suitable for restoration, parts, or display.
