Antique Silver & Blue Glass Bowl – M & Co. – Birmingham 1920
Description:
A charming antique silver and glass bowl, hallmarked for Birmingham, 1920, with the maker’s mark M & Co., possibly Marples & Co. The hallmarks are rubbed but still partially legible.
The bowl features a beautiful cobalt blue glass liner with a guilloché-style pattern. The glass has a clean break across the centre but remains securely intact within the silver mount. The silver shows light wear and surface marks consistent with age, but no major dents or damage.
A lovely example of early 20th-century silver and glassware, likely used as a salt, trinket, or dressing table bowl.
