Antique Cast Iron Mantle Clock - The Ansonia Clock Company - Working
The mechanical movement is faced by a beautiful hand painted porcelain dial upon which is written: "Manufactured by The Ansonia Clock Company, New York, United States of America".
The black painted cast iron housing measures 285mm across, 145mm deep and 230mm tall.
A key is included, but sadly it's not the original. The clock winds and ticks along beautifully, chimes on the hour and the half hour. It is running a little fast, but can easily be adjusted.
In good antique condition, winds, ticks and chimes nicely, runs a little fast but can be adjusted. One internal cast iron bracket is snapped, but hasn't affected the structural integrity of the housing. Please see photographs.
