A fine example of an antique American Waltham Watch Company (AWWCo.) pocket watch, housed in a sterling silver case hallmarked in Birmingham in 1900. The movement dates to around 1899, and the case bears the maker's mark "AB" (Waltham Watch Company’s British import). This key-wound watch is in working order, although no key is included. The silver case is attractively engraved and shows typical tarnish for its age.

The American Waltham Watch Company, based in Waltham, Massachusetts, was a pioneering manufacturer in precision timekeeping and mass production.
